In preparation for the installation of the Spring Creek Overpass Bridge, a segment of Bay Road and the Mason Trail between Niswender Road and Prospect Road will be closed beginning Friday, January 3, 2014 for MAX construction activities. This closure will be in effect until late January.
Alternate routes are suggested to avoid the construction zones. Detour routes include Drake Road, Research Boulevard, Centre Avenue, and Prospect Road. The Mason Trail will also be closed between Niswender Road and the Spring Creek Trail throughout the duration of this project. A detour route will be marked, directing trail users to Centre Avenue and Research Boulevard to safely avoid the work zone.
Cyclists and pedestrians, please watch for posted detour routes on the Mason Trail, slow down, avoid distractions and proceed with caution while travelling through the construction zone. We thank you for your patience.
The project schedule is an estimate based on favorable conditions; variances may occur due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

MAX is on the Way!
Construction of the MAX Bus Rapid Transit system will continue until early 2014, with MAX service beginning in May 2014. MAX will offer passengers rail-like convenience at 12 stations and two transit centers between Downtown and Harmony Road, with service every 10 minutes and real-time bus arrival information at each station. MAX will connect Downtown Fort Collins, Colorado State University, Midtown and south Fort Collins, providing many new economic redevelopment opportunities near station locations.
