John F. Kennedy Parkway, from Horsetooth Road to Monroe Drive, has been selected for resurfacing as part of the City of Fort Collins 2012 Street Maintenance Program. Milling and paving will begin August 15 and last approximately one week. During this time John F. Kennedy will be under construction and will be CLOSED to all traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times by utilizing entrances on Horsetooth Road, Monroe Drive and Stanford Road. The final pavement overlay will be installed later in August, which will require another closure. Please note the construction scheduled below:
August 15-16: John F. Kennedy Parkway CLOSED, Horsetooth Road to Monroe Drive
John F. Kennedy Parkway will be open August 17-19
August 20-21: John F. Kennedy Parkway CLOSED, Horsetooth Road to Monroe Drive
Final paving: schedule to be announced at a later date
Project dates are estimates based on favorable conditions; variances may occur due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Work Zone Information
Typical working hours are weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Alternate routes are required to avoid the construction zone. Detour signs and business access signs will be clearly posted.
