Tree Removals for Shields Bridge Reconstruction – Expect Periodic Lane Closures

The City of Fort Collins will be performing tree removals along South Shields Street between Roland Moore Drive and Centre Avenue the week of April 2. The trees are being removed in preparation for construction in the fall of 2012 to replace a failing bridge on Shields Street near Rolland Moore Park.

Construction Details
Work hours for the tree removals will be 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. During this time, travelers can expect periodic lane closures near the bridge replacement site. Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes along Taft Hill Road or College Avenue to avoid delays.
