Utilities' Drake Water Reclamation Facility Awarded for Commitment to Environmental Management Syste

Fort Collins Utilities’ Drake Water Reclamation Facility recently was recognized for its strong commitment to environmental stewardship for achieving the ISO 14001 Certification from TUV Rheinland of North America.
ISO 14001 is the globally accepted standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS), a tool used by organizations to achieve environmental objectives, manage limited natural resources and comply with legal requirements. The system focuses on continual improvement in environmental performance.
The facility will renew its certification every three years. Certification renewal helps ensure continued improvement to the facility’s EMS.
The City’s Drake Water Reclamation Facility is the first wastewater treatment facility in Colorado to earn ISO 14001 certification.
