Join 7News Chief Meteorologist and local best selling author Mike Nelson for a free presentation—and the opportunity to witness the infamous tornado dance—on Tuesday, April 22, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Lincoln Center, 417 W. Magnolia St. Seating is limited, so don’t be late.

Residents are invited to bring their lunches to this energetic presentation and learn how global warming, the greenhouse gas effect and other aspects of climate change affect Coloradans. Stick around to purchase Nelson’s award-winning book at a discounted price, Colorado Weather Almanac, or bring your own copy for him to sign.

It’s well known that Colorado’s weather is often a source of beauty, wonder and danger. Colorado’s crazy climate can bring amazing changes in the weather in a matter of hours—even minutes. Nelson’s presentation provides insight into the causes and forces behind some of these changes, including droughts, avalanches, blizzards, champagne powder snow, hail storms, 300 days of sunshine, tornadoes and lightning.
Nelson has been forecasting the weather in Colorado since 1991. A detailed biography is available at www.fcgov.com/sustainability/mike_nelson.php.
