The City of Fort Collins today announced that Blue Ocean Foundation will sponsor the City’s annual 4th of July community celebration. Based in Fort Collins, Blue Ocean Foundation is the charitable arm of Blue Ocean Enterprises, and its sponsorship will help fund popular community events including the upcoming 4th of July parade and fireworks celebration at City Park.
The 4th of July Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4th, and will run along West Mountain Ave., beginning at North Meldrum St. and ending at Jackson Ave. The community celebration will also include live music from the 101st Army Band and the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra beginning at 4:15 p.m., which will be followed by a fireworks celebration at 9:35 p.m. (weather permitting).
“We are honored to sponsor this tremendous civic event that brings together our entire community to celebrate what is great about our country,” said Nancy Richardson, co-founder of Blue Ocean Foundation. “Fort Collins is our hometown, and we look forward to joining our neighbors to participate in one of the state’s great civic celebrations.”
Wendy Williams, Fort Collins’ Assistant City Manager, said she appreciates Blue Ocean Foundation’s support of the community event. “Blue Ocean Foundation is an important part of our community, and its work serves as a catalyst for healthy growth in Fort Collins,” Williams said. “Their support of community programs in Fort Collins is valued and we appreciate the opportunity to work with them.”
