Mandi Woodall (DOB 05/23/89) has been arrested for the death of her 3-month-old son. Charges include:

Child Abuse, Knowingly or Recklessly Causing Death (class 2 felony)
Child Abuse, Knowingly or Recklessly – 2 counts (class 2 misdemeanor)

On May 23, 2017 at 5:53 pm, Fort Collins Police responded to a report of a deceased child at a home in the 1000 block of Garfield Street. Woodall told officers that she had taken a 2-hour nap with her infant and, upon waking, found the child unresponsive. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Woodall had been asleep for approximately 18 hours. Drugs are believed to have been a factor in this case.

Two other young children were present in the home and had been unattended while Woodall was asleep. While they showed signs of neglect, both were uninjured.

Woodall was arrested on May 25 and booked into the Larimer County Jail. A booking photo is attached courtesy of the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with additional information about this case is encouraged to contact Detective Jaclyn Shaklee at 970-416-2771. Those with information may also contact Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868 or www.stopcriminals.org.

All charges are simply an accusation by law enforcement officers, and all arrested parties must be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
