The Spring Community Issues Forum, put on by the City of Fort Collins and CSU’s Center for Public Deliberation, will take place on Thursday April 27 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Senior Center in the Prairie Sage 1 room. The night will include a discussion about the update to City Plan as well as new tools for public engagement.
“The City is launching a new engagement platform that will serve as a centralized, one-stop-shop for information and input on big picture, long term projects. We can’t wait to introduce this tool and others at the spring forum,” wrote Annie Bierbower, Civic Engagement Liaison for the City.
One example of a big picture project that will be on the platform is City Plan. Community outreach will be a vital part of updating City Plan which is a document of policy and guidelines that will shape Fort Collins for the next 25 years and beyond. Part of this forum will be a conversation about what the community views as the most important parts of City Plan and how they want to be involved. Students from the CSU Center for Public Deliberation will facilitate small group discussions and capture insights from attendees.
Childcare and a light meal will be provided. RSVP at https://goo.gl/forms/oXCNF7k5M5lSaOfr2
