Due to weather, the start date for the Lincoln Avenue Bridge demolition and replacement has been delayed to Jan. 12.

The bridge will be completely closed to traffic during construction, which is scheduled to last approximately six months. The Poudre Trail will also be closed between the Linden Bridge and Lincoln Bridge during construction. Signs in the area will mark vehicle and bike/pedestrian detour routes.

To minimize non-residential traffic through the Buckingham neighborhood, 1st, 2nd and 3rd streets will be closed at Lincoln Avenue during construction. Residents will be able to access the neighborhood from Buckingham Street.

The bridge demolition and replacement begins phase two of this project to improve mobility and safety for bicyclists, pedestrians, transit users and vehicles through the Lincoln Corridor.
