Native American Art Market: Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8, 10am - 5pm. Join us in the Museum's free zone for Native American arts and crafts, Native dancers at 1pm, a NAGPRA panel discussion at 4pm, and more!
Free Jam: Daily in the Music Garage. Drop in anytime between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Stop by the Music Garage and rock out! Jam with a friend or two, and try your chops out on a variety of instruments. Museum staff will be there to help you out…but please, don’t play Free Bird.
Meet the Animals: Sundays at 2:30pm; Tuesdays at 1:30pm. Get up close and personal with the Museum's live animal collection. Learn about exotic and native animals from the experts - the animals themselves!
Reactable: Remix: Sundays. Drop in anytime between 11:00am and 12:00pm. Wanna master the super-amazing Reactable? Drop by for expert guidance and see if you can get the club jumpin'.

Garage Studio: Thursdays, 3:00pm – 5:00pm. Pre-registration required. Book our Music Garage for a recording session! Bring your band, use our gear, and lay down a track with our sound equipment. Culture in the Courtyard: Sunday, December 8, 1pm – 4pm. Heritage Courtyard, Library Park, corner of Olive and Matthews Streets. Visit the three historic cabins and the 1905 Boxelder Schoolhouse during this special opening of the museum's Heritage Courtyard. While you visit, enjoy 19th century holiday crafts and activities.
Sure, Mix-a-Lot: Fridays, 3:00pm – 5:00pm in the Music Garage. Pre-registration required. Learn the ins & outs of mixing music from the experts! From EQ techniques to digital mastering, the way you mix music is just as important as how you play it. Must have completed a Garage Studio session, or bring your own tracks to mix. Dining with your BFF: Black-Footed Ferret Feedings. Saturdays at 2:30pm. Watch our adorably cute black-footed ferrets tear into their weekend meal! Not for the squeamish or faint of heart.
Discover Music! Saturdays in the Music Garage. Drop in anytime between 11:00am and 12:00pm. Dubstep? Klezmer? Besides having fun names, they’re also cool musical genres. Stop by and discover a different genre of music each session, and broaden your musical horizons. And who knows: you might find a new appreciation for psychedelic jamgrass music!
Adult Swim: Friday, December 20, 6pm – 9pm. Explore the Museum...at your own pace! Enjoy an adults-only evening at FCMoD, without all the hustle and bustle. Third Friday of every month. 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Adults only. Must be 18 years or older.
NCAS Monthly Meeting: Thursday, December 5, 7:30pm – 8:30pm. Join the Northern Colorado Astronomical Society for their monthly meeting at the museum. Every month brings a new presenter and exciting topics like tracking satellites in the night sky or the science of black holes. This event is free and open to the public.
