The City of Fort Collins will host a public open house on the Foothills Mall redevelopment on Wednesday, October 30.
The open house will be 4-7 p.m. inside the Mall. Attendees should enter at the West Main Entrance near Buckle. The open house will be in the Foothills Leasing Showroom in space B-10, which is located between the center court water fountain and Macy’s next door to Maurices.
Representatives of multiple City departments will be present to answer questions about various aspects of the project: Economic Health, Environmental Services, Finance, Recreation, Planning, Traffic/Engineering, the Urban Renewal Authority and Utilities. Light refreshments will be served.
In May, the Fort Collins City Council approved a $53 million public assistance package including a $45 million base financial assistance package that will revitalize the Foothills Mall and restore essential sales tax revenue, as well as an $8 million investment in City infrastructure, including a new Youth Activity Center and an underpass that connects to the Mason Street Corridor. Total project investment in the community is expected to be $312 million.
The developer, Alberta Development Partners, is expected to come back to the Planning & Zoning Board on November 21 with modifications to the redevelopment plans approved in February.
