FORT COLLINS, Colo. – On Friday, November 1, Fort Collins Museum of Discovery presents FC Noir, an adults-only exploration of 1930s Fort Collins!
Blow your wig at an evening of fedoras, flappers, and old-fashioneds at FCMoD! And for every bit of elegance, there’s always a darker side: a shadow on the wall, a figure behind closed blinds, a beautiful woman with a deadly edge. Explore crime, murder, and mystery from the beginnings of Fort Collins to today, all set within a 1930s ambiance. Meet infamous local femme fatales & dirty rats, and explore the stories and history of Fort Collins coppers. Discover the history of bootlegging, prohibition, and bars in Northern Colorado, and see amazing artifacts from the Museum's collection. Slip into our speakeasy and try a variation on moonshine from an historic local recipe, and swing to performances by the Jumpin’ Jive Cats and Lee Holiday & The Time Off. Ladies, don’t forget your cloche hats, and gentlemen wear your best suits! Period costumes are encouraged!
FC Noir is Friday, November 1st from 8:00 – 10:00 pm. Pre-registration is required. Tickets are $20 a person, member discounts available. You must be 21 or older to attend. To register, stop by the Museum’s front desk or call our reservation line at (970) 416-2705.
