National Weather Service Issued Flood Warning for Poudre River

This news was released 372 days ago and may contain inaccurate information.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Poudre River. It is estimated that the river will peak at 7,000 cubic feet per second (cfs), which is comparable to the flooding peak in April 1999. More rain is expected through the evening.

When used by the National Weather Service, the term “warning” means severe weather has been reported or is imminent, take precautions. Read more on the National Weather Service site, http://www.fcgov.com/national-weather-service.

The Poudre River Trail is closed from Overland Trail to I-25. Do not drive or bike through floodwaters. Turn around, don’t drown.

Call 970-221-6700 to report flooding problems or debris blockages or buildup. Visit http://www.fcgov.com/floodplain-maps or http://www.fcgov.com/floodwarningsystem for additional information.

Another news release will be issued in 2 hours, unless conditions change in the meantime.
