Lemay Avenue Bridge between Mulberry Street and Riverside Avenue will be closed Saturday, September 7 for asphalt paving as the City completes work to improve safety and ride quality. The bridge is under construction as the City crews replace joint material and concrete, then mill and overlay new asphalt on the bridge driving surface. Work began on August 26, and the bridge has remained open to traffic although lane restrictions have been in place. At this time, the bridge has temporarily reopened all four lanes of traffic.
A one-day, full closure is required to complete the work and detours will be implemented. Crews will work on Saturday to expedite construction and minimize impacts to businesses, residents, and travelers. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Alternate routes are suggested to avoid the construction zone. Detour routes include Mulberry Street and Riverside Avenue.
Project dates are estimates based on favorable conditions; variances may occur due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
We appreciate your patience during this work. Please slow down and avoid distractions while travelling through the construction zone. For the latest information on road work throughout Fort Collins, visit fcgov.com/fctrip
