The City of Fort Collins 2013 Fourth of July community celebration will include an entire day of events celebrating our country’s Independence Day. Fourth of July will begin with a parade in the morning and conclude with live music and a traditional fireworks display at City Park presented by University of Colorado Health.

Starting at 9:30 AM the Fourth of July Parade will travel eastbound from City Park to Downtown on West Mountain Avenue between Jackson Avenue to South Howes Street. The parade will feature the 100th Anniversary of Fort Collins Police Services; Chief John Hutto will serve as the parade’s Grand Marshal. In the evening at City Park, 1500 West Mulberry Street, your Fourth of July will continue with live music and a fireworks display over Sheldon Lake. The live music starts at 4:15 PM with the band Daddy Rab followed by a performance from The Honey Gitters at 6:00 PM and The Fort Collins Symphony will perform from 8:15 to 9:30 PM prior to the fireworks display. Fireworks are scheduled to launch at 9:35 PM over Sheldon Lake, depending on weather and wind conditions.

Transfort will provide free shuttle service on the Fourth of July to City Park. Shuttle service will begin from the Downtown Transit Center and from Colorado State University’s Moby Arena Parking Lot at 5:30 PM. Shuttles will conclude service to City Park at 9:10 PM. Shuttles will return to the Moby Arena Parking Lot and Downtown Transit Center at the conclusion of the fireworks display. Alcohol and/or pets are not permitted on the shuttles; Alcohol and/or pets are not permitted in City Park. Parking will not be permitted at City Park Pool or City Park Nine Golf Course. Parking around City Park's perimeter will be limited.
