SPECIAL EVENTS
All American Picnic
The All American Picnic and Apple Pie Baking Contest will entertain you, satisfy your appetite, and challenge your baking skills. The Senior Center and the Breakfast Optimists Club are again partners in this event to raise money for the Senior Center Expansion effort. A bounty of music and food will be provided. Entrants for the Apple Pie Contest may pick up the rules and registration form at the Fort Collins Senior Center.
Note: Tickets available at the Senior Center or from members of the Optimist Club.

4th of July Celebration in City Park and July 4th Parade

Catherine’s Manifesto
Celebrate the 250th anniversary of Catherine’s Manifesto of the Migration of Germans into the Russian Empire and ultimate immigration of those Germans to North America. The US benefited from their rich cultural and agricultural heritage. Learn how Catherine’s Manifesto influenced the settlement of the American West. Includes lunch.

Amazing Race – Family Edition!
Inspired by the Amazing Race TV show, family teams with children in grades K-8 will compete in a series of fun challenges that they must complete together. Awards will be given to the first place finishers in the different categories. All teams will receive commemorative T-shirts and be entered in a drawing for special prizes!
Note: Children on teams must be in grades K-8. Grades based on the 2012-2013 school year. Sign up as a 2 person, 3 person, 4 person, or more than 4 person team. All teams must have at least 1 adult and 1 child, no all adult or all child teams. Come dressed for the weather rain or shine!

Visiting Artist Demonstration: Ginny Cash
In this demonstration, Ginny Cash will discuss her work and show how to throw and create functional tea pots.

Explore Utah
Located in Southeastern UT, the areas we’ll visit contain some of America’s wildest and most remote canyons, arches, and natural bridges. Our explorations will take us into side canyons, cliff dwellings, to view art work left by the Anasazi, petrified dinosaur tracks and some of the planet’s finest scenery.
Note: Fee includes 8 days/7 nights, including van transportation from Colorado, most meals, expert guides, entrance fees and unparalleled scenery.
