Final Paving to Begin on West Prospect Road

West Prospect Road from Taft Hill Road to Palm Drive has been selected for resurfacing as part of the City of Fort Collins 2012 Street Maintenance Program. Preparatory roadwork will finish the week of August 6 and final asphalt paving will begin the week of August 13. Road closures will be required to complete the work. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Please note the construction schedule below:
• August 7-10: Prospect Road, Palm Drive to Taft Hill Road (lane closures)
• August 13: Prospect Road CLOSED, Palm Drive to Fuqua Drive (Fuqua Drive open)
• August 14-15: Prospect Road CLOSED, Taft Hill Road through Fuqua Drive (Fuqua Drive closed)
Project dates are estimates based on favorable conditions; variances may occur due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Work Zone Information
Typical working hours are weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Road and lane closures will be used. Alternate routes are suggested to avoid the construction zones. Please carefully follow the flaggers’ directions at all times and proceed with caution. Detour routes include Taft Hill Road, Elizabeth Street, Overland Trail, and Drake Road.
