A vibrant neighborhood is great in so many ways. The lawns look nice, the common areas are pleasant, and the residents frequently get together to socialize. That's why the City of Fort Collins offers small neighborhood grants. Whether it's $25 or $500, the impact on residents and their neighborhoods can be quite amazing. Does your neighborhood need a little help? How about a few dollars to bring residents together with a picnic, potluck, or ice cream social? Want make some neighborhood improvements? If you put in the sweat, we could help fund a neighborhood clean-up, yard waste clean-up, or a community garden. Bring us your ideas!

Apply now. The grant deadline is June 1, 2012. Grants are available for events or projects fostering positive neighbor relationships and building community and sense of pride within our neighborhoods. Grants from $25 to $500 are available to neighborhoods within Fort Collins city limits. Please go to fcgov.com/neighborhoodgrants for more information, an application, and a sample budget form. Your project or event must be scheduled at least three weeks after June 1 to allow for grant review, notification, and fund dispersal. For more information, contact Ginny Sawyer at 970-224-6070 or
