Ziegler Road Maintenance Starting May 7

Ziegler Road (Horsetooth Road to Kechter Road) has been selected for resurfacing as part of the City of Fort Collins Street Maintenance Program. A significant amount of preparatory work is scheduled, including concrete repairs, asphalt milling, patching and paving.
On Zielger Road, work will begin to remove and replace damaged curb, gutter and sidewalks at various locations starting the week of May 7. Timberwood Drive at Zielger Road will be closed May 7-11 (weather permitting). Traffic will be detoured around this closure using Ziegler Road, Harmony Road, Corbett Drive and Rock Creek Drive. The final asphalt overlay between Harmony and Kechter is scheduled for completion in July-August 2012 and the section between Horsetooth and Harmony is scheduled for 2013-2014.
During working hours, typically weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at least one lane in each direction of travel on Ziegler Road will be permitted; however, traffic delays can be expected for this project, and alternate routes are suggested to avoid the construction zone.
