Trilby Road, between Shields Street and Portner Road, has been selected for resurfacing as part of the City of Fort Collins Street Maintenance Program. A significant amount of preparatory work is scheduled, including concrete repairs, sub-grade preparation, asphalt milling, patching and paving.
Starting the week of April 16, work will begin to remove and replace damaged curb, gutter and sidewalks at various locations. Eastbound Trilby Road east of College Avenue will be closed April 17-18 (weather permitting). Traffic will be detoured around this closure using College Avenue, Harmony Road, Lemay Avenue and Carpenter Road. Concrete repairs will continue on Trilby Road through the week. The final asphalt overlay is scheduled to occur later this year.
During working hours, typically weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., one lane in each direction of travel will be maintained (excluding April 17-18); however, traffic delays can be expected for this project, and alternate routes are suggested to avoid the construction zone.
As with all construction projects, please refrain from cell phone use and other distractions, and drive slowly through the cone zones.
