All American Picnic and Apple Pie Contest
Enjoy pre-Fourth of July festivities on July 3 at the Fort Collins Senior Center.
June 22, 2010 - (FORT COLLINS, Colorado) - The 5th Annual All American Picnic and Apple Pie contest will occur on Saturday, July 3 at the Fort Collins Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Drive, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. This pre-Fourth of July celebration will include live music, a BBQ dinner and an apple pie contest with a $100 first place prize, and door prizes. The event is sponsored by the Optimist Club of Fort Collins and the City of Fort Collins Recreation Department. Additional support has been provided by Columbine Health Systems and Allnutt Funeral Service.
Live entertainment will be provided by local favorite, The Poudre River Irregulars. The Poudre River Irregulars are an exuberant New Orleans and Dixieland jazz band from Fort Collins. The live music will start at 7:00 PM and conclude at 9:00 PM. Tickets are available for purchase at the Senior Center, adults: $12 and children: $6, children under the age of 6 are free. Admission includes entertainment and a dinner of BBQ pulled pork, potato salad, beans, apple pie and ice cream. A cash bar will also be available to quench your thirst.
