On October 31, at 8:05 a.m., Fort Collins Police went to a rollover accident on Timberline Road between Prospect Road and Mulberry Street. It was reported a sedan rolled off the road and one person was trapped.
The sedan, a 2005 Subaru Impreza, was traveling north on Timberline Road from Prospect Road. As the road curved to the east, the Impreza spun out of control and slid across the opposing lane of traffic before rolling off the opposite side of the road. The driver, 53 year old Jerome Folse, of Fort Collins, was extricated from the sedan and transported to Poudre Valley Hospital with serious injuries. Grant Mathers, a 31 year old passenger, from Fort Collins, was transported to Poudre Valley Hospital with minor injuries. A second passenger, Kevin Gonzales, a 42 year old from Fort Collins, was not injured. Timberline was closed between Prospect and Mulberry for 4 hours while police investigated. Police DO NOT believe alcohol was involved. Witnesses reported the sedan was speeding prior to the accident. The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
