The HomeRun GED Program is sponsored by the City of Fort Collins and helps high school dropouts attain GED certification. HomeBase, the previous program, was created in 1994 as a result of a neighborhood meeting where parents expressed concerns about neighborhood youth dropping out of school and getting into trouble. The Streets Department partnered with the Buckingham and Alta Vista Neighborhoods to bring educational resources into these neighborhoods.
The program is now located at Neighborhood Services. The City provides GED materials and volunteer tutors. Students meet one-on-one with their tutor on a regular basis in order to get ready to pass the GED test. If you are interested in becoming enrolled in the program or a volunteer tutor, please contact us.
