Natural Areas Eagle Scout Volunteer Opportunities
The Eagle Scout Award is scouting's highest rank and therefore is the most difficult to achieve. One of the requirements for the Eagle Scout rank is to plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project. Eagle Scout service projects are to be substantial and are meant to leave a lasting impression on the community.
The Fort Collins Natural Areas Program is happy to work with Eagle Scout candidates to meet their Eagle Scout service project requirement. You must propose your own service project idea. By applying to fulfill your service project requirement with the Natural Areas Program you are entering into a serious commitment but one that will be rewarding to you and have a lasting benefit to your community.
If your proposed project is accepted, you will be assigned a mentor through the Natural Areas Program who will be your main contact and help guide you through project completion. Please allow 6-9 months to complete the project.Steps for submitting your proposal:
