2008 History Mystery ChallengeAlong our city’s central avenue, Sites a quaint storefront trimmed in blue, Today you may visit it and leave feeling framed, But a man who worked there long ago was ultimately blamed, For bottling a secret in this bit of real estate, Now peer above the windows—the stones are inscribed with what date?* Are you intrigued by the riddle above?The Fort Collins Museum Foundation is excited to announce the 3rd Annual History Mystery Challenge on June 13, 2008. Get ready for the third annual History Mystery Challenge on June 13 from 6-10 pm in the Heritage Courtyard (and elsewhere – but that’s the Mystery!). History Mystery is the premier fundraising event of the season and supports the Museum Foundation’s Museum Endowment, ensuring continued support for Museum needs into the future. Teams of 4-6 players join mind and muscle to solve clues in record time – 90 minutes to search Old Town for clue answers, and then beat the clock back to the Museum. Enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, beverages and door prize drawings while an impartial committee reviews the answer sheets (an envelope with the correct answers has been hermetically sealed and kept in a mayonnaise jar on Brent’s back porch). Teams with the most correct answers face off in a trivia contest, with the winning team receiving a prize, and most importantly, bragging rights for a full year! Costumes are encouraged – Costumed Teams are eligible for even MORE fun and prizes!
