Warrants#

Fort Collins Municipal Court issues and processes warrants on misdemeanor type cases for failure to appear at hearings or trials and failure to appear for a show cause hearing on cases involving the suspension of jail or a deferral judgment. If you have a warrant issued out of this Court and wish to address it, you have the following options:

  1. You may appear on Tuesday or Thursday morning (except for holidays) at 8:00 AM and request to either speak with the Judge in the courtroom regarding your case or meet with a prosecutor about your case. No one can be added to the day's docket after 8:30 AM. You must appear prior to 8:30 AM.
  2. You may appear during normal business hours at the Municipal Court Clerks’ Office and post a cash bond in the amount listed on your warrant. After posting the bond, your warrant will be cleared and your case will be rescheduled for a Bond Return Hearing date within two weeks.

If you choose option 2, you must appear in the Municipal Court Clerks’ Office before 4:00 PM, Monday through Wednesday or Friday, or before 3:00 PM Thursday. This allows the Clerks time to process the case and clear the warrant before closing that day.

If you have additional questions, please contact the Fort Collins Municipal Court by email at court@fcgov.com for further information.
