Why volunteer?
Volunteers ARE NEEDED,...and it is an opportunity to serve your community! Plus, our current volunteers tell us that it is fun and that our staff is great to work with!
Apply Now!
You are welcome to download our volunteer application (102 KB) and fill it in and bring or mail it back to the library. This is the volunteer application for community members who want to help out because they like the library and want to give something back to the community…or for no special reason other than it just makes them feel good! If you do not have access to downloading capabilities, please come in and ask at any public service desk for the light-blue Volunteer Application form.
If you need to fulfill court-ordered community service hours in any amount you need to contact the volunteer coordinator at 224-6183 for pre-screening and to make arrangements to pick up a Community Service volunteer application packet.
If you are someone who needs to volunteer for less than 12 hours for a school class or scholarship requirement, or other class such as confirmation or martial arts, there is a short-term volunteer application form for your use at the library. Ask for the yellow one-page "Short-Term Volunteer Application" form at any public service desk. Longer service learning/internship community service hours may also be available at the library-please ask!
