ArtWear Fashion Week

Gary Hixon and the Lincoln Center present the 15th ArtWear Fashion Week Sept 16th – 25th. It's a week filled with all things fashion, starting with the theatrical Fashion Show Preview Event on Friday, September 16th in the newly re-named Magnolia Theatre, formerly the mini theatre. The week-long Sales Gallery opens after the Fashion Show with hundreds of artist-designed, hand-made, one-of-a-kind, wearable art garments by nearly 50 artists from all around the country. This event is also a fundraiser for the Lincoln Center Visual Arts educational and exhibition programs.

The new Lincoln Center Art Gallery will feature the work of Horst Couture with hand-felted, uniquely designed gowns on display. Information about Horst’s Gallery Talk and other trunk shows scheduled with visiting artists throughout the week will be updated on the Art Gallery's webpage.

ArtWear Fashion Week will culminate with KnitWear: A Fiber Arts Experience on Sunday, Sept 25th, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Center conference rooms. This fiber extravaganza offers twenty vendors’ and fiber artists’ booths, community craft tables, free prize give-aways, and demonstrations of new skills and new products. It’s a great way to share your enthusiasm for all things fiber! Tickets are available at the door. All ages and abilities are welcome!

A Grand Show Marks a Grand Re-opening
The Midtown Men
4 Stars From the Original Cast of Jersey Boys*

The Lincoln Center is back in business baby and we're pulling out all the stops with a special Grand Re-opening show on September 17th that reunites four stars from the Original Cast of Broadway's Jersey Boys.

Tony-Award winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony-Award nominee J. Robert Spencer, star in this one-of-a-kind concert experience celebrating the music that defined the 1960s!

During their time in the mega-hit musical Jersey Boys, these four talented artists shared the stage for over a thousand performances. Additionally, they delighted television audiences with appearances on the Today Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, and Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve, among many others. They also performed at Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, the US OPEN, Yankee Stadium and Broadway on Broadway in Times Square and are featured on the show's Grammy-Award-winning album.

Now these four Broadway Stars are taking their own unique sound and chemistry on the road, singing the hits of The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Jackson Five, The Mamas and The Papas, the Four Seasons and more!

New Ticketing System Equals Lower Fees

Say goodbye to standing in line for tickets. Along with our interior and exterior improvements, our ticketing system has also been upgraded!

The new system, powered by ShoWare, allows users to go online to LCtix.com and pick their own seats from detailed maps of both the Performance Hall and the newly renamed Magnolia Theatre. This powerful software will also soon allow users to see a view of the stage from their potential seats before they purchase.

The upgrade also offers users the added convenience of printing their tickets at home so patrons buying online no longer have to stand in line at Will Call. Best of all? This service has been added without any of the commonly associated print at home fees.

In fact, acquiring the new ticketing system has allowed us to lower our per ticket convenience fee and eliminate the per order fee altogether. A typical online ticket order now averages 30% less in fees than in previous years.

“This new system is an investment that gives us a significant competitive advantage and it also empowers the patrons while saving them money,” says Ty Sutton, Lincoln Center General Manger. “It’s a win, win for everyone!”

Plus, for all the social networking junkies out there, tickets can now be purchased through our Facebook page thanks to a special application that allows users to share the news of their purchase with their Facebook friends. We are one of the first performing arts centers in the country to offer integrated Facebook ticketing.
