Create a piece of art for your garden! Donna Beard will demonstrate how to make glass mosaic stepping stones using concrete pavers and stained glass pieces.

Building a Jar Fountain for Your Patio or Garden

Saturday, June 5, 12:00 - 1:00 pm
Learn how to build a simple, yet elegant, jar fountain to add interest and serenity to your patio or garden. Sherry Fuller will demonstrate how you can assemble a fountain in an hour or less with a pump, a large pot, and several other items. You'll also get tips on keeping outdoor fountains clean and adding plants to them.

Drip Irrigation Components: How to Fit Them All Together

Drip irrigation is The Way to water your roses, vegetable garden, perennials and even your container gardens. But what are all those little pieces and how do they fit together? Watch as Stephanie Selig, owner of Patio Plants Unlimited, puts together a miniature drip irrigation system and explains each of the components.

Fresh Flower Arranging

You can bring the colors and fragrances of your garden inside by creating fresh flower arrangements. Learn from Sara Hoff, Retail Manager at Jordan's Floral Gardens, how to cut fresh flowers and plantings for arranging. You'll also learn about the importance of focal points, and the best types of water and preservatives to keep your arrangement fresh.

Growing Vegetables in Containers

Containers aren't just for annuals anymore! Mary Miller, Community Garden Outreach Coordinator at the Gardens on Spring Creek, will show you how to plant an edible container while providing tips on the best soil mix and veggie varieties for containers, and how to water and fertilize so your vegetables will thrive.

Cooking with Spring Greens

Sunday, June 6, 1:30 - 2:30 pm
Early greens are so welcome after our long winter! Linda Hoffman of Come Back to the Table will share some new ways with old favorites like spinach, chard, and baby lettuces. She'll also show you some tasty ways to prepare lesser-used greens like sorrel, watercress and arugula.
