Summer Camp Adventures

Full & Half Days Available

The Gardens on Spring Creek is offering opportunities for exploration and investigation of gardening and the natural world this summer. Our camps are full of garden–centric games, exploration and art, music, and cooking ~ especially suitable for children ages 6 to 11 years old or those entering grades 1st through 5th grades.

Your child can expect unique programming each week of camp. Pre-registration is required. Scholarships are available. A 10% discount is offered with a family membership to The Gardens.

Summer Camp is held outdoors in the garden. Children should dress for the weather, bring water, and wear sunscreen & hat (if preferred). Half day camps please bring water and snack. Full day camps please bring water, snack, and a bagged lunch.

Children may be dropped off as early as 8:30 a.m.; camp programming will not begin until 9 a.m. For afternoon camps, children may be picked up as late as 4:30 p.m., but programming will end at 4 p.m. The Gardens close at 5 p.m.

Supervised Lunchtime: If you are participating in a morning or afternoon half day session of a full day camp and would like to extend your stay over lunch, you can! Pack and bring your lunch and join us for supervised fun in the Children’s Garden from noon-1 p.m. for an additional $20 for the week. Lunch time is included for full-day camps. Campers must bring their own lunch.

Gardeners and Chefs – Allergy Aware
Date: June 5-9, 9 am-Noon
Cost: $135

Come join us for a week of cooking and gardening at the Gardens on Spring Creek. We will spend the week learning and making fun recipes, exploring the plants that flavor our foods, and making our own book of recipes to take home! This week of Allergy Aware camp will feature dairy free, nut free, and gluten free recipes. We will try to accommodate other food allergies or sensitivities if we are made aware. Honey, we shrunk the Campers!
Date: June 12-16, 9 am - Noon
Cost: $135

Ever wondered what the world looks like from the perspective of an ant, how about a fish? Come explore the magic and mystery of the microworlds in the gardens. Learn to use microscopes, build your own underwater viewers, and get your hands dirty with the compost critters! We will spend a week exploring different out-of-this-world environments and making new micro-friends.

Garden Arts Camp
(Morning: Fine Arts; Afternoon:Performance Art)
Date: June 26-30
Morning/Half day camp, 9 am - Noon, $135
Afternoon/Half day camp, 1-4 pm, $135

Learn to see the natural world through the perspective of an artist. The morning camp will focus on capturing the natural world trough different mediums and creating art with what we find in the Gardens. Our afternoon camp will explore our embodied relationship with nature through music, theater and dance in the beautiful outdoor spaces of the Gardens on Spring Creek.

Garden Animals
Date: July 10-14
Morning/Half day camp: 9 am-Noon, $135
Afternoon/Half day camp: 1-4 pm, $135

The Gardens on Spring Creek is an animal's paradise! Come spend the week exploring the relationships between the animals and plants that live here in the gardens. We will get up close and personal with garden critters and the evidence they leave behind. Whether we are building habitats, practicing our skills of camouflage or learning how to talk to birds, it is going to be a wild time!

Garden STEM Camp
Date: July 24-28
Morning/Half day camp: 9 am-Noon, $135

Did you know Velcro was inspired by a plant!? The garden is teeming with secrets to be discovered! Come learn to ask deep questions and design solutions to real world problems. Each day we will be harnessing our science, technology, engineering and math skills to tackle new and exciting challenges like making seeds that can fly, saving bees from extinction and engineering systems to grow plants in space!

Gardeners and Chefs – Conventional Cooking
Date: August 7-11
Half Day Camp, 9 am - Noon, $135

Come join us for a week of gardening and cooking at the Gardens on Spring Creek. We will spend the week learning and making fun recipes, exploring the plants that flavor our foods and making our own book of recipes to take home!
