Come enjoy light refreshments and share your thoughts on options under consideration for land use, neighborhood character, transportation, open space, and other topics.
This event will also include preliminary design options for Prospect Rd. between Shields St. and College Ave. and information on some of Colorado State University’s current planning efforts. 

The West Central Area Plan will provide a basis for updated land use regulations, transportation projects, housing policies, natural resource protection, historic preservation, and neighborhood character - including a new conceptual design for a section of Prospect Road from Shields Street to College Avenue. This area generally encompasses the neighborhoods south and west of Colorado State University. The West Central Area boundaries extend from Drake to Mulberry, between Taft Hill and Shields, and also from Drake to Lake between the Mason Corridor and Shields.

The City of Fort Collins, in collaboration with Colorado State University's Center for Public Deliberation, will host a Community Issues Forum to give residents an opportunity to discuss and contribute ideas and opinions on the capital expansion (Building on Basics 2.0) and the Street Maintenance Program proposed tax renewals.

This will be a drop-in open house format from 5-6 p.m. followed by more in-depth facilitated table discussion from 6-8 p.m. The Center for Public Deliberation will provide table facilitators and live polling to facilitate both a gathering of opinions as well as constructive conversations among participants.

In partnership with University of Colorado Health, our Garden to Fork series will highlight the process of harvesting fresh produce grown in the Garden of Eatin' at the Gardens on Spring Creek and transforming the ingredients into a healthy, delicious culinary dish. Class will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. Participants will not be served a full meal, although ample tastings and recipes will be included. September 18: Hearty Soups--During this class, you will learn the art and science of choosing a proper soup pot, building a rich stock, and assembling an incomparable creation, layer-by-layer, with the bounty of garden veggies. Carrots, potatoes, squash, and many other favorites will be incorporated. Cost is $25 per person.
