In this hands-on class we’ll create beautiful hand-tied wreaths using fresh culinary herbs such as rosemary, sage, oregano, thyme, sweet bay and lavender. The wreaths are both attractive and useful, especially when dried. Participants will learn the basics of wreath making and take home their own unique creation. Fee: $40 member; $45 non-member. Instructor: Sue Oberle created Oberle Botanical in 1996 and provides Northern Colorado with some of the freshest produce, herbs, plants and flowers. She gardens on two acres using agricultural methods that are sustainable-environmentally, economically and culturally.

The dog days of summer are nearly over, but the dogs still get their day in the pool! The second annual Pooch Plunge will mark the final day of the summer season at City Park Pool. Before the pool is drained for 2005, pooches are encouraged to bring their toys and their four-legged friends for the final splash-down of the year. For an hour and a half, the City's outdoor pool will be transformed into a canine coup! Cost: $5 per dog, $8 for two dogs ($2 for each additional dog).

The Recreation Division invites you to participate in its 3rd annual Driving Fore Dough golf tournament on August 29 at Southridge Golf Course.
As an 18-hole, 4-person scramble, Driving Fore Dough is limited to the first 144 golfers. The tournament is open to men, women, and coed teams. No handicap is required.
