The Fort Collins Senior Center hosts its’ 18th annual Visual Arts and Crafts Show. The show draws unique and diverse arts and crafts both regionally and nationally from seniors who are 50 and older. With more than 30 different categories of artistic expression you are sure to find something that catches your fancy. On July 4, 1898, more than 4,000 people gathered for the opening day of the Colorado Chautauqua. Boulder civic leaders and Texas educators joined together to create a cultural and educational summer retreat. Today, the Colorado Chautauqua is one of three remaining Chautauquas in the United States, and the only site west of the Mississippi River. You will tour this facility near the flatirons and then have lunch in the dining hall.
Note: Fee includes van transportation, tour, lunch and escort. There are many hills and stairs involved.

The exhibition features the work of five artists who create art from found and recycled objects from industry, construction, and consumer waste. Participating artists are Bob Coonts, Erick C. Johnson, Susannah Mira, Lee Somers, and Les Sunde.
Each artist also created one piece for the exhibition from the parts of decommissioned pianos from the "Pianos About Town" project.
Please join us for the Opening Reception on Friday, May 4, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Exhibition dates are from May 5 through June 2. Gallery hours are Tuesdays-Fridays, 10am-6pm, Saturdays noon-6pm, and evenings of most performances.

The Planned Development Overlay District (PDOD) is a newly-developed option designed to provide an alternative, more flexible City review of projects reusing and updating sites with existing buildings and infrastructure challenges. Before City Council considers adopting PDOD permanently, staff is proposing to launch a 6-month pilot period to test and refine the option. Join City staff for an open house on Monday, May 7 in the Community Room at 215 North Mason Street. Presentations are at 4 PM and repeated at 6 PM, with time for questions after each. Learn how this option works and its role in redeveloping Fort Collins. Your feedback will assist City Council when considering adoption of the PDOD pilot on July 17.

The exhibition features the work of five artists who create art from found and recycled objects from industry, construction, and consumer waste. Participating artists are Bob Coonts, Erick C. Johnson, Susannah Mira, Lee Somers, and Les Sunde.
Each artist also created one piece for the exhibition from the parts of decommissioned pianos from the "Pianos About Town" project.

Each artist also created one piece for the exhibition from the parts of decommissioned pianos from the "Pianos About Town" project.

The grand opening of the Aggie Greens Disc Golf Course is scheduled for May 13 at 8:30 am. Aggie Greens is located in front of Hughes Stadium. The day will begin with a ribbon cutting by City dignitaries followed by a disc golf tournament, Grateful Disc, at 9:00 AM. Disc golf clinics will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM in the afternoon.
Construction on the 18-hole course, located in the front of Hughes Stadium, began in October of 2011. The City worked with the local disc golf community to build the course. With input from the local clubs, Bill Wright designed the course. This will be the second City-maintained Disc Golf Course in Fort Collins. The first is at Edora Park, which is also 18 holes.

Each artist also created one piece for the exhibition from the parts of decommissioned pianos from the "Pianos About Town" project.

Each artist also created one piece for the exhibition from the parts of decommissioned pianos from the "Pianos About Town" project.

With more than 30 different categories of artistic expression you are sure to find something that catches your fancy. Pitch in and help clean-up along the Poudre River! All you need is gloves, sunscreen, and the desire to make a difference! Organized by Mountain Whitewater Descents and sponsored by the Fort Collins Natural Areas Department. Volunteers with bikes and trailers are also needed to transport trash. Free, no registration necessary.
