College & Harmony Intersection Improvements Project (CHIP)

A major intersection reconstruction project on College Avenue and Harmony Road beginns in April, with substantial completion by mid August. The College Harmony Intersection Project (CHIP) will affect many commuters, residents and local businesses. It's the fifth busiest intersection in the city and is one of the most damaged. The project will include newer, safer right turn lanes, designated bike lanes, safer pedestrian crossings, the installation of concrete pavement, and new signaling. Learn more about the project and sign up for regular project updates via email alerts at fcgov.com/chip.

Summer Construction

Construction Projects in 2010 can be expected to cause traffic delays on certain streets. We will do our best to minimize simultaneous traffic impacts on parallel arterial streets. Full street closures are occasionally required for safety and efficiency, reducing construction time, expense, and impacts to the traveling public. For information on the major construction projects planned in 2010 and current conditions, visit fcgov.com/fctrip.

Advance warning of street and lane closures for all events, large and small, is published in the Coloradoan several times each week. Please check in often and plan alternative routes when necessary. Thank you for your patience as we endeavor to make our streets system safer and more efficient for everyone!
