Fort Collins Utilities provides safe, reliable and affordable electric service to more than 62,000 homes and businesses in the community by:

• Operating and maintaining the electric system facilities, which are nearly all underground;
• Constructing major and minor electric system additions and modifications;
• Extending temporary and permanent services;
• Installing and maintaining the streetlight system;
• Providing after-hours troubleshooting, customer service and duty response; and
• Presenting customer education programs on electric safety.

Fort Collins Utilities promotes conservation to help customers save energy and money and help protect the environment.

The Electric Energy Supply Policy, adopted in 2003, is Fort Collins Utilities' commitment to a cleaner environment, competitive rates and a reliable system. The policy sets specific targets to encourage the use of efficiency to help meet this need, instead of relying solely on additional capacity.
