Fort Collins Utilities and Platte River Power Authority are partnering with local retailers to bring you ENERGY STAR^® qualified CFLs at discounted prices.

Install compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs to save time, energy and money. ENERGY STAR^® qualified CFLs offer:

Long life: Last up to 10 times longer than conventional bulbs. On average, CFLs are changed only every five to seven years.
Big energy savings: Use 2/3 to 3/4 less energy than standard bulbs. Save up to $30 in energy costs per bulb over its lifetime.
Great performance: Instant turn-on, quick warm-up and excellent light quality.
Cool operation: Operate at lower temperatures, enhance safety and generate little heat.
Small size: Many are no larger than conventional bulbs.
Many styles: Styles for almost every light fixture.
Low cost: Available locally for $1.50-$8. A CFL saves far more in energy costs than its purchase price.

CFL bulbs contain a trace amount of mercury (no bigger than the period at the end of this sentence). When your CFL burns out, please do not put it in the trash. There are convenient, free recycling options available in Fort Collins.
