ENERGY SCORE
Who performs the rating?ENERGY SCORE is provided by certified energy raters who charge between $150 and $250 for typical homes. Fort Collins Utilities offsets $50 of the cost for homes rated within city limits. What does the rater do?The rater will visit your home—or review plans for a new home—and collect detailed home information. A site visit usually lasts one to two hours, depending on the size and complexity of the home. The energy rater then organizes all of this information and enters it into a computer model which calculates how your home uses energy.
