Join us on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, from 4-7 PM in the Community Room in the City offices at 215 North Mason Street to discuss, share and review all of these projects conveniently at one time. Read the news release.
City to Study Outdoor Vendor Regulations
Over the past several years the type, products, and distribution of outdoor mobile vendors has evolved and includes more options. These vendors want the City to be more accommodating and/or less restrictive in its licensing and permitting requirements. Conversely, the City receives complaints from existing local merchants concerned of the potential unfair competition from mobile vendors. This study aims to level the playing field in applying license and permits, and taxes between all users. for more info, visit fcgov.com/outdoorvendors.

City to Continue Studying Parking Options
The Parking Plan is intended to address a number of key Downtown parking issues, including very high usage of on-street parking, lack of employee parking options, parking for new development, and more. In February, we presented a comprehensive and integrated list of ideas to address these issues to various community groups and City Council. In response to requests for more information, staff is preparing an in-depth analysis of the more contentious ideas and providing additional outreach this spring. Learn more by visiting fcgov.com/parkingplan.
Student Housing Action Plan
We are working with CSU, neighbors, developers, and other stakeholders to identify strategies to address the increasing need for student housing, identify possible key areas for development, and identify potential impacts and compatibility issues. Eastside & Westside Neighborhoods Character Study
The Eastside & Westside Neighborhoods Character Study represents a follow-up to the 2010 Eastside & Westside Neighborhoods Design Standards Study. At the May 24, 2011 Council Work Session, staff received direction to reset the discussion and approach with a new process to take a broader and deeper look at compatibility issues in renovation, infill, and redevelopment projects in these neighborhoods near downtown.
