On February 26, the City Council will discuss several additional revisions to the Urban Renewal Policies and Procedures. The meeting will take place at 6 p.m., in City Hall, 300 Laporte Ave. It will also be available on Comcast Cable Channel 14, or streamed online: fcgov.com/cable14.
Two nights later, on Thursday, February 28, at 6 p.m., in City Hall, 300 Laporte Ave., City Council will discuss the area encompassed by the Midtown Urban Renewal Plan and consider the following:
- Ratify and reaffirm the area as blighted,
- Ratify and reaffirm the adoption of the Prospect South Tax Increment Financing District,
- Amend the Plan to allow for Tax Increment Financing for the Foothills Mall area, and
- Ratify and Reaffirm that the Fort Collins Urban Renewal Authority is authorized to acquire real property by all legal means, including eminent domain.
