Fort Collins has a new dining option, providing local, sustainably grown meals to everyone, regardless of one’s ability to pay.
Jeff and Kathleen Baumgardner have created FoCo Café with a vision to contribute to the Fort Collins community by providing delicious and nutritious food to everyone who comes through the door. The Café operates on a pay-what-you-can basis, whether that’s the normal meal price, a little less, or a little more to help pay it forward.
The Café is volunteer-run and supported by donations of food, ingredients and equipment. Though the Baumgartner’s are still working on a permanent location, several area restaurants and organizations have hosted the FoCo Café as a travelling eatery.
On Jan. 1, FoCo Café will host their first annual New Year’s Day Pajama Brunch at Panino’s Italian Restaurant. This Café fundraiser offers brunch, drinks and activities – including a pajama contest – for $25 per person, or $90 for a table of four. Tickets are available online:
