Keeping handheld digital devices safe dry and clean has turned out to be a fantastic business for Curt Richardson and company. Orders are pouring in, their warehouses are bustling, and Otterbox just inked a deal to move their 116 employees to 209 S. Meldrum, between Oak and Olive Streets.
Moving into an existing building in prime downtown space is good news for Otterbox and the community. Otterbox is Fort Collins’ fifth largest primary employer; finding appropriate office and warehouse space in town was a major undertaking, but extremely important to the local economy.
The Downtown Development Authority played an integral role in the transaction. Otterbox will receive a one-time tax increment-financing grant of $1.5 million to fund public improvements (streets and sidewalks) and remodel the façade of the building. The company hopes to complete construction by the first quarter of 2011. Congratulations on your new space!!!
