The City of Fort Collins and surrounding area is becoming well known as major bicycling destination in the United States.  Bicycle sporting events help keep Fort Collins on the national bike map as a great place to visit and ride bikes!  Thanks to all the bike event promoters and the Fort Collins Convention & Visitors Bureau for making these events come to fruition.

~ Amoeba Rock Ride (5/3) - 8:30am to 1:30pm - Join fellow cyclists and ride 33, 50, or 100 miles to raise money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation! Meet at 317 E. Cycling Collegiate Nationals Road Bike Races - May 8-10th - CSU Rams Cycling Team and the Fort Collins Cycling Festival hosts a weekend of high-energy bicycle racing in Fort Collins.  These faces will bring in hundreds of families and Collegiate bike racers from all over the U.S. Details below:

1) Friday, May 8th will feature the Collegiate Nationals Road Bike Races starting and finishing at Hughes stadium from 8:00am - 4:00pm.  For map, click here >>

2) Saturday, May 9th will feature several exciting Collegiate Nationals Criterium Championship bike races in downtown Fort Collins from 8:00am - 2:30pm.  This is great time to experience the hair raising thrills of the peloton.  Check out the start/finish line & spectator and bike expo area. 3) Sunday, May 10th will feature the Collegiate Nationals Time Trial Championship bike races.  For map, click here >>

The Fort Collins Bike Co-op has stepped up to the plate to rally and organize 80 volunteers to help out for both the Friday and Saturday bike races.  The Bike Co-op has 84 "door prizes" for volunteers ranging from a Raleigh townie bicycle to hotel night stays, gift certificates to local restaurants and river rafting trips on the Poudre.  For more details on how to volunteer, please visit >> 

Finally...this Sunday, May 3rd from 4:00pm - 7:00pm
, Peloton Cycles and Oskar Blues Brewery invite all cyclists, volunteers, and community memebers to kick off the Collegiate Nationals Cycling Championships with a Bike and Barbeque event.  Volunteers who attend will have the opportunity to be trained quickly in basic principles of traffic control for the Friday race.
