Welcome back to Momentum.  Can you feel spring in the air?  While riding on urban bike trails make sure to communicate with and yield to walkers, joggers, and other slower moving bicyclists.  Bike bells and lights are a great way to communicate on the bike trail.

~ The Bicycle Safety Summit on February 12th was a success. Approx. 75 Fort Collins residents donated their time to brainstorm bicycle safety in our community.  CSU's Center for Public Deliberation will be publishing a report on the findings as well as facilitate a safe community action plan.  Stay tuned...

~ "Roll Into Spring" Event series start this Wednesday night with an inside look at "Innovative Transportation Projects."  Also, do not miss the Diamond Peaks Mountain Bike Patrol kickoff event on March 9th, 6:30pm, at New Belgium.  Also, Saturday 3/14 is the St. Patrick's Day parade.  Come ride with FC Bikes and celebrate the bicycling in Fort Collins.  Goto all events >>

~ The City's ClimateWise Program is including the League of American Bicyclists' Bicycle Friendly Business program as criteria to achieve ClimateWise partner status.  New Belgium Brewing Company is the first business in Fort Collins to complete Bicycle Friendly Business application.  Results on New Belgium's bicycle friendly business designation will be released this Thursday! Stay tuned...

~ FC Bikes is excited to launch the Neighborhood Bike Coordinator program this spring.  Would you like to be, or are you already, the neighborhood bike guy or gal?  Would you be willing to open your garage up once or twice a month to help neighbors fix up their bikes, offer a little bicycling advice, put a little lube on some chains and air up some tires?  If you would like to be a neighborhood bike coordinator, just contact DK

~ The Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association is hosting the 2nd annual Environmental Film Festival on March 17th and will feature a film on the Ghana Bike Project.  Our own Fort Collins Bike Co-op is working on a similar project locally.  More info>>
