Northern Colorado Unites for Bicycle Exposition
The
Ranch and Bike Wise Program (Linking Northern Colorado) have teamed up
to assemble the first annual Northern Colorado Bicycle Expo at the
First National Bank Exhibition Hall on the campus of The Ranch,
Saturday, June 18. The expo will include a bike swap, bike safety rodeo
for children and adults, free helmets, safe cycling info, gear and bike demos, a
vintage bike show, big air jump demonstration, good food, beer garden and free basic bicycle
tune-ups for event attendees.
Event attendees can demo an array of bicycles including,
cruiser, road bikes, mountain bikes, commuter bicycles, cargo trailers,
and more. Attendees will learn bicycle safety and bike maintenance
tips, get properly fit for a bicycle, receive bike commuter and
recreation information and learn about regional cycling opportunities
and organizations.
Bike Wise (Linking Northern Colorado) is the regional extension of the
City of Fort Collins’ bike program. Bike Wise was created in order to
encourage and expedite regional connections among cities in Northern
Colorado; to share best bicycle planning practices with respect to
infrastructure and facilities; and to provide consistent bicycle safety
education and encouragement outreach throughout Northern Colorado.
The Ranch, Larimer County Fairgrounds and Events Complex, located in
Loveland, Colorado, opened in 2003 and is owned and operated by Larimer
County. The Ranch consists of the Budweiser Events Center, the
Ranch-Way Feeds Indoor Arena and Livestock Pavilions, the First
National Bank Exhibition Halls, and the Thomas M. McKee 4-H, Youth
& Community Building. The Ranch hosts more than 2,000 events
annually and is home to the Larimer County Fair and PRCA Rodeo. For
