~ Bike Lunch Talk - February 28th - 12:00pm - 1:00pm. Home State Bank (303 E. Mountain Ave). Join us for a brown-bag lunch while we discuss the proposed recommendations of the Bicycle Safety Education Plan. Learn about the community's efforts to continue making Fort Collins a safe, bicycle friendly community.

~ Bicycle Education Classes are now available for registration through the spring Recreator. FC Bikes and partners are offering several bicycle education classes for people of all ages and abilities. Check out pages 52 (adults) & 59 (children).

On-Goings:

~ The Northern Colorado Cycling Events (NCCE) group is preparing for a HUGE year of competitive cycling events in Northern Colorado: Time Trials, Six Day Races, City Street Crits, Fort Collins Cycling Festival (Gran Fondo), US Grand Prix of Cyclocross, New Belgium Short Track and Cross Country Races, Lory State Park Mountain Bike Races. Giddy on up over to Your Group Ride for dates!

~ The Bicycle Pedestrian Education Coalition (BPEC) is spreading bicycle education and safety throughout the Northern Colorado community. Check out the calendar of bicycle education for classes presentations, and events. Contact us if you would like to schedule a bicycle safety class or presentation for your business.

~ CSU Campus Bicycle Advisory Committee has applied for the League of American Bicyclists' Bicycle Friendly University program. CSU will be designated a Bicycle Friendly University on March 8th. Established in 2008, CBAC offers support and guidance to enhance the bicycle experience for the CSU campus community as well as technical and planning assistance to CSU facilities and safety services. The board is comprised of bicycle enthusiasts, police services, parking services, City transportation personnel, CSU Facilities, staff, and students.

~ The Northern Colorado Bicycle Retailers Alliance is forming. Bicycle shop owners and managers will collaborate and strategize ways to grow overall bike sales and continue to support bicycle infrastructure and programmatic efforts in Northern Colorado.
