Together with Team Bob, we hosted a Bike Safe event fro kids at and seniors at the Senior Center. Safekids Coalition also attended and helped fit 21 kids with new bike helmets. The Bike Rodeo went over well as we designed practice courses for the kids to practice their bike riding skills and we went over topics such as how to ride on bike trails and how to ride on in traffic and the use of hand signals. In addition to the rodeo, Dottie Spivac, a certified instructor of the League of American Bicyclists taught a class to 14 adults on bicycle Safety.
Fort Collins Bike Week is planned by the Bike Week Committee: a consortium of representatives from local bicycling organizations, and the city of Fort Collins, working together to produce a designated week of community events dedicated to promoting bicycles as a way of life in Fort Collins.
