Description

This functional public art donation from the Shawn Patrick Brooks Foundation serves both as a bench and a bicycle work station. The ten-foot-tall “Cycologist” tree sculpture, patterned with bike wheels, marks a place where bicyclists can make repairs, and they and pedestrians can rest. The laser-cut sheet metal connects the themes of environment and cycling and the work station includes a clamp to hold a bicycle in place and a range of common bike tools and a bike pump.
