Working with the City's Natural Areas Department, artist Robert Tully has helped design multiple elements for the Bobcat Ridge Natural Area including the design of the Ranch like entryway in which he built up the stonework at the base of the entryway kiosk area and also helped place the two large sandstone boulders at either side of the pathway. Two hand carved sandstone reliefs of a bobcat among plants were each placed along the trail and Tully also designed and built the decorative floor to the picnic shelter and a sandstone perimeter wall surrounding the shelter. The design of the wall is inspired by the geological structure of the cliffs, displaying many layers, vertical columns separated by cracks or eroded opening, and slight overhangs.
