Affordable Housing for Agencies/Developers The City of Fort Collins considers the provision of housing as a basic human need, and therefore has assumed the responsibility to work towards increasing the availability of affordable housing in the community. We annually committ $1.5 to $2 million dollars to a number of programs that specifically target affordable/attainable housing. The City would like to encourage your company to consider developing affordable housing in our community. Currently, the demand for affordable housing targeting very low income families is high. The City provides a variety of incentives and funding subsidies for multi-family and home ownership projects which serve very low, low and moderate income households. An informational packet for affordable housing developers is available for download or you can contact an Affordable Housing Planner at 970-221-6758 or . The packet contains a Community Profile, Affordable Housing Program, Development Review Process, Community Design Manual, Contact List of Housing Development and maps. These describe the affordable housing needs in the City, the development incentives, competitive process, funding available to qualified projects and a listing of local contacts. As a developer you have access to many programs as shown in the table below. The table contains brief descriptions. For more information, click on the program's title. Programs
