About UsThe City of Fort Collins assists low-moderate income citizens of Fort Collins in the areas of affordable housing and human services. This assistance comes in the form of grants or loans to local housing agencies and human service providers in our community. Twice a year we allocate funds through a competitive process.
The funding for the competitive processes comes from federal and local dollars. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME). The City’s general fund provides funding through the Affordable Housing Fund (AHF) and the Human Services Program (HSP).
